Graduation ceremony set Sunday

Milan High School seniors shared one last meal in the school cafeteria this morning at the annual Senior Breakfast followed by rehearsal for Sunday's commencement ceremony.

The Awards Night is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Thursday followed by an all-class party at 9 p.m. at the school.
Milan High School commencement will be held 3 p.m. June 3 in the school gym. Seniors should report at 2 p.m.
Class president Ryan Kartje, valedictorian Carolyn Nelson and Milan Middle School teacher Dan Reeves will address graduates, families and guests.
The senior class recently raised more than $1,500 for the athletic department development projects at a garage sale and fair held April 28. Kyle Western, Sarah Morey, Stephanie Kanitz and their committee pulled together a day of shopping and entertainment.
"These kids really set a new standard for all our students to give back to the school and community. Thanks for the great day and all the hard work," said Principal Ron Reed, who will welcome graduates to the stage.
