Big Reds fall to Grosse Ile

The Milan girls' tennis team is still looking for their first dual meet victory of its inaugural season after an 8-0 loss to Grosse Ile April 22.

The Red Devils won the meet without allowing the Big Reds to take a single set. Coming closest for Milan was No. 4 singles player Bekah Draves, who fell 2-6, 3-6.
Milan's Sarah Towler lost 1-6, 0-6 at No. 1 singles; Cherisse Woolard fell 0-6, 0-6 at No. 2 singles; and Hanna Yoskovich fell 0-6, 0-6 at No. 3 singles.
In doubles play, No. 1 team Maura Donahue and Jannicka Martinsen fell 0-6, 0-6; No. 2 team Jessica Pfeiffer and Liz Mitchell lost 0-6, 1-6; No. 3 team Toni Barnett and Kauren Kartje lost 1-6, 0-6; and No. 4 team Anne Borema and Katie Borema lost 0-6, 1-6.
After taking on St. Mary Catholic Central Tuesday afternoon, Milan will face Airport at home this Tuesday at 4 p.m.
