Milan police took a report of larceny April 21 from a gas station at the corner of County and Dexter streets. A suspect had pumped $85 worth of gasoline into a company pickup truck and attempted to pay with a credit card that wouldn't process. The suspect left and promised he would return with a different credit card, but never returned.
Ordinance Violation
Police responded to a call from a residence on Anderson Street at approximately 6:20 p.m. April 23. A homeowner on the street was burning leaves in his yard in violation of a city ordinance.
Disorderly Conduct
Officers arrived at 2 p.m. April 25 to deal with a man accosting customers outside a Milan store along Main Street. He told police that he had been asking customers for money as they left the store and admitted to becoming belligerent when they didn't respond.
During the conversation, the man began to angrily shout profanity. He was arrested and given a breath test, which showed he had a blood-alcohol level of 0.35 percent, which is considered legally drunk.
