The ducks will be dropped into the river at the Wabash Street bridge and the finish line will be before the second footbridge in Wilson Park.
Ducks are $5 each and are available before May 3 at the Lighthouse CafÈ and Milan Floral. Representatives will sell ducks on Main Street before the Milan Youth League Parade and during the ball games in Wilson Park until race time. For more information, call Roberta Myyra at Milan High School, 439-5056.
In addition, the Milan High School Development Office is hosting the second annual 5K Run/Walk May 3, the Milan Youth League's Opening Day, at 7:50 a.m.
The race will start in front of the Milan Senior Center with the finish at the Wilson Park soccer field. Timing for the event will be provided by Steve Porter, Milan High School track and cross country coach.
Racers and walkers will finish in time for the Milan Youth League Opening Day Parade.
The entry fee is $20, but racers and walker teams may choose to obtain sponsors in lieu of paying the fee. T-shirts will be available to the first 200 registrants. Entry forms and sponsorship forms are available online www.milan5K.com.
All proceeds will benefit the Milan High School Athletics Complex Capital Campaign.
