Burglary

The owner of a closed business on First Street called police March 8 to report a burglary at the building. A side door was reported open, but the owner was unsure if it had been forced open or if it had been left open.
Someone had apparently also gone through the owner's pick-up truck while it was parked outside, but nothing was taken. Tools, copper and stainless steel materials were reported missing. The incident remains under investigation.
Larceny
A business on East Main Street reported a larceny that took place March 6. Several tanning light bulbs were taken and a gumball machine had been damaged with an unknown number of quarters also stolen from inside the machine.
Forgery
Forgery was reported March 5 at a business on County Road. A customer complained that items purchased with his account at the store had not been purchased by either himself or his son.
An employee later agreed that the individual who had signed for the items was not the customer, but a man he recognized as a different person. A comparison of receipts signed by both the son and the suspect in question showed that the signatures were visibly different. The case remains under investigation.
