The city of Milan is in the mayor's hands

I was pleased and happy with the mayor's suggestions of selling water to neighboring townships. Detroit does that and makes millions in income from the sale.
How is the plan going? Has the city contacted the townships and how many meetings of their officials has the mayor been to to sell this idea?
I hope that her out-of-the-box ideas will renew hope that the city can ride high out of its current financial situation and onto a brighter future.
If this doesn't work, I would suggest the following:
lHas the city considered selling additional assets to cut costs and liabilities?
lI would like to suggest a freeze on all pay increases for all staff for the next four years. The auto industry is cutting jobs and the hope of a pay raise is out the window. So why should we pay taxes to pay for excesses that the companies, which pay the people who pay the taxes, can't do?
lAs elected representatives, perhaps a minor 5 to 10 percent pay cut in your salary would be a good thing to cheer up people who wait for their pink slips every time we go to work. I know that he council refuses to take a pay cut of a larger amount, but 5 to 10 percent is better then no job at all, which is more then a lot of people have.
I thank the mayor for her consideration and I hope that she can make the budget in terms of her ideas.
I am sure that everyone who voted wants to see the mayor succeed and take this city to the next level.
If she hopes to just increase the city taxes, then I am afraid she has failed in her mission before she gets started.
