Referrals sought for program

Christmas in Action is gearing up for another year of neighbors helping neighbors.

The nonprofit organization, whose mission is to reach out to members of the community to help with needed home repairs and rehabilitation projects, is accepting referrals through March 15.
The work can range from replacing a roof, painting a house, building a wheelchair ramp, staining a deck to cleaning up a yard and planting flowers.
Founded in 1992, the organization is made up of Saline- and Milan-area residents who volunteer to help needy neighbors and family members. The date for this year's event is April 26. To nominate a property to be considered for this year's projects, visit the Christmas in Action Web site at www.christmasinactionsaline.com.
