Wilson and Anderson named most valuable

State qualifier senior Emily Wilson led the Milan varsity cross-country team when it came to compiling awards at the close of the season. Wilson was named the girls' Most Valuable Runner, taking home All-League, All-Regional and All-State honors.

In addition Wilson, who made Academic All-State and was presented with the Senior Award and the Captain Award, became a member of the Summer 500 Mile Club.
Other awardees included state qualifier Kara Porter, a sophomore who received All-League, All-Regional and All-State honors. She was named the team's Most Improved Runner, made Academic All-State and was a member of the Summer 500 Mile Club.
Sophomore Samantha Beeler was a state qualifier and was named All-League as was Tiffany Stoddard, who also received the Senior Award.
Other state qualifiers on the girls' team included junior Kelly Bowman, and freshmen Jenna Manor and Jordan Tomecek. Rebekah Michalak and Remina Reed received Senior Awards.
Sophomore Kyle Anderson was named the boys' Most Valuable Runner, earning All-League and membership in the Summer 500 Mile Club. Sophomore Tim Hochradel received Most Improved honors.
