Hall of Fame induction this Friday

The makeup of this year's inductees into the Milan Hall of Fame includes four teams and two individual athletes.

Standout swimmer Scott Porter and basketball and football phenom Aaron White will be inducted into the hall.
A 1972 graduate of Milan High School, Porter was an All-State swimmer and a member of the 1972 state championship team, which is also being inducted into the Hall.
White, a 2002 Milan High School graduate, was named All-State in both basketball and football and was a member of the 2001 boys' basketball team that claimed the Huron League title under coach Ron Tarrant. White went on to play basketball for Texas A&M Corpus Christie.
Teams being inducted include the 1981 girls' basketball team, which under coach Don Beehler went 19-5 on its way to a district championship; the 1999 girls' volleyball team, which won a district title under coach Beth Box; and the 2001 boys' basketball team.
The induction ceremony will take place at halftime of the Milan varsity basketball game Jan. 25 against Flat Rock. Tip-off is 7 p.m.
