Diaz reappointed David Conger to the nine-member Planning Commission and named Melvin Pulsipher to replace Kenneth Franklin. Both seats run through December 2009. Pulsipher had previously served on the Zoning Board of Appeals. Diaz filled Pulsipher's previous post with Betty Sheldon, who will serve through 2007.
Jack McClary was reappointed to the Board of Review through 2009 and Art Witbart was renamed to the Beautification Committee through 2008. The seat vacated by Mary Beth Ludwig was left vacant.
The Parks and Recreation Commission will remain intact with the reappointments of David Johnson and Daniel Fromm, whose terms will run through 2009.
Lori Friese-Baker was renamed to the Elected Officers Compensation Commission, which sets salaries for council members and the mayor, and Marilyn Wisner was named to fill a vacancy on the EOCC. Friese-Baker's term runs through 2011 while Wisner's expires in 2010.
Wisner was also tapped to continue serving through 2009 on the Police Community Advisory Board as the senior citizen representative. Andy Box was reappointed to a three-year term on the advisory board as a community representative.
To fill vacancies on the advisory board, Diaz named Mary Ochalek as the Main Street representative through 2007 and Matt Chapin as the school representative through 2008.
Diaz reappointed Dena Isley, Randy Westbrooks and Rod Hill to the Brownfield Redevelopment Authority. Their terms expire at the end of 2009.
John Gaines Sr. and Bonnie Jurgensen were renamed to the Milan Historical Commission for three-year terms.
Matthew Nutt did not return to sit on the Zoning Board of Appeals and Robert Creal vacated his seat on the Downtown Development Authority, leaving two vacancies on the DDA board of directors.
